It was 2003. I was 9 years old, so excited to buy my first pair of in-line skates. They were incredibly gaudy, as kids’ skates usually are. Bright pink, the shiniest plastic and way too heavy.
But I loved them! I skated everyday and never got bored of them. I kept them for years until they became too worn and small for me, so I looked for a new pair.
But I was a teenager now, I wanted them to look GOOD. Or at the very least, NOT ugly! That search turned from weeks, to months until I eventually gave up…
Enter Fetch Skates. Created by myself and a few skater friends I picked up along the way.
We loved the idea of cute, chic boots that double up as in-line skates. There aren’t many on the market. So we brought them to the market, and made them affordable.
